[Editorial] Recently we received a letter from Jianping Li, a fugitive Chinese Catholic. He denounces in his letter the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) brutal persecution on Catholics, and hopes Vatican can wake up through the thorough understanding of the persecution that the underground Catholics have been suffering. Does Vatican really not know the persecution? Does Vatican really not know the CCP’s evil nature and its origin? (Revelation 12: 3-9) How can it be that Vatican has no knowledge in such an information time and when even the whole world knows how the CCP has been brutally persecuting Christians? There is no way for Vatican not knowing the fact. Then why is it still not waking up? Not only not “waking up”, but also in his letter to the Chinese believers, the Pope even expressed his willing to reach some agreement with the Chinese government!

We believe this is the issue that every believer should seriously think about. The Bible clearly tells us that at the end of the time, all the world powers will harmonize together since they are from the same spirit which will unite the kings of the nations together to battle against God. “For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.” (Revelation 16:13-14)

Dear sisters and brothers, the ONE we believe in is the King of the kings, and the Lord of the lords, but not a particular person, an organization or an institute of authority. In nowadays when people are used to so many false teachings, we really should be alert and constantly pray in order to avoid being blinded by the god of the world and to stand firmly on the truth (2 Corinthians 2:17 and 4:4)

Wake up! Vatican

In order to eliminate the truth of the Bible and the salvation of the Christ, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been persecuting the Chinese Catholics for more than 60 years. Their ruthless and bloody deeds are too many to tell!

Even before they kidnapped China, the CCP’s soldiers buried Priest Huo next to the church in Baoding. And they continued the persecution without any concern after kidnapping the country. The well respected Archbishop Xueyan Fan was secretly taken away by the CCP on November 3^rd, 1990. And a year later, several trucks full of armed police came and dropped a large plastic bad in front of the church, and then left without a word. The believers opened the bag and found the body of Archbishop Fan. Another Bishop, Father Du Han, from Guchen Village, Dingxin County, Baoding County, Hebei Province, was beaten to death in Baoding Prison in July 1960. Bishop Shuanfu Zhou was sentenced to death penalty during the 1970’s. While he was still imprisoned, he cured a sick woman who was the wife of a high ranking officer of the CCP’s 38 Legion. Therefore his sentence was changed to 15-year imprisonment. However, during his imprisonment, his spinal was beaten broken. And he finally died of the affliction after being released from imprisonment.

My wife’s family, a Catholic one, has been also persecuted from the beginning when the CCP took over the power. In 1966, my parents-in-law were escorted back to their home town-Xusui Anzhuang Village to be tortured and humiliated in public and forced to labor. In 1968, they were sent back to Baoding for the same mistreatment. Often times, the police would come to search and turn their house upside down. They were constantly beaten up and insulted. Huizhen Liu, my mother-in-law was sentenced to three-year imprisonment in Tangshan Prison because she hid Archbishop Zhongyan Fan. My father-in-law had liver cancer and persecuted to death in his early years. My wife’s sufferings cannot be expressed by words……Later, they sent a friend of mine whom I acquainted in 1983 to watch us. He was actually a police! He talked to me many times to ask me to become their informer to help them to destroy the underground church. Since I refused, they threatened me many times to imprison me. In the fear of being imprisoned, we managed to escape from China to Singapore in December 2007. In the past two years, I and my wife voiced in many Malaysia churches (including Church of the Holy Rosary in Kuala Lumpur) for the persecuted underground churches in China. And because of that, we have been persecuted and harassed by the Chinese government agent and their Malaysia dogs. They prohibited us from speaking the religious persecution and forced us to leave Church of the Holy Rosary and threatened to send us to the Chinese Embassy. Church of the Holy Rosary collaborated with the Chinese government and opened a church window in Shilin County, Yunnan Province in China. We are very lonely and helpless here in Malaysia. We have to watch out all the time for the Chinese government agent and their dogs.

We Catholics have been suffering silently, remembering the Bible’s teaching-turn the left cheek to him if he slaps your right one. However, the evil CCP has been taking advantage of our silent and submissive enduring to kill and persecute us Catholics and Christians.

The world has known that CCP has persecuted Fa-Lun-Gong for ten years. Many countries and people stand up to support the justice and oppose the CCP’s brutal crime. In fact, CCP has persecuted us for more than sixty years starting before they kidnapped the country. However, Vatican has never seriously faced and considered our Chinese believers’ sufferings and feelings from the perspective of Christ’s truth and justice. You Vatican sitting so high, have you ever sent your messenger to China to collect the first-hand information about the persecution that the underground church (faithful church) and the underground believers have been suffering? Can you stand up like those supporting Fa-Lun-Gong and protesting against the CCP to support and help us Chinese Catholics? You should understand we believers are also living human beings with feelings. We follow our faith and moral standards just to clean our souls, to help the society and to purify the mankind, but not to be innocent lambs to be slaughtered by the devil CCP.

Bishops of Vatican, please step out from the Cathedrals and see what the Catholic world has become to. The Catholic world is now very muddy-righteousness is oppressed by black clouds, and hypocrisy and selfishness are dressed with righteousness. Under the pressure of the power of the darkness at the end time, how many believers have already lost their faith and courage! And still how many dare to stand firmly to truth, faith and justice? How many your children have sold their souls for the crumbs and fallen into the CCP’s snare of sex and money! I would like to quote an excerpt from an article on how the devil CCP plays with Vatican.

The Generational Change of the Chinese Catholic Underground Church

(Further damaged the Catholic underground church’s faith in Vatican. The Catholic underground church complains a lot against Vatican in the recent years. This is very normal. Any thought that “The Most Holy Father” would break up with the Chinese government for the sake of the “loyal church” is very ridiculous. Vatican fully understands that the only way to have a foot place in China is to negotiate with the Chinese government. Although the underground church is important, it is just a piece of chess. To protect the Queen, all other pieces can be sacrificed. Through the event of this benediction (Yinglin Ma), the underground church (actually, the CCP) further sees clearly the impotency of Vatican.)

Therefore, on one side, the CCP can use any wicked ways to persecute the Chinese Catholics and to ridicule Vatican. On the other side, in order to establish diplomatic relationship with CCP’s devil government, Vatican would deviate from the Way, betray the Truth, rape the Catholics’ pure faith, and sacrifice the feelings of the tens of millions of Catholics. Do they really want to use these to move the CCP to stop being Satan’s representative and turn to good?? Then where are the truth and righteousness of the Bible? Where are our human conscience and justice? Our Father told us, “I am the Truth, the Way……”-where is it????? The few pro-CCP individuals in Vatican accuse us the loyal Chinese Rome church (believers) too radical. I would like to ask you corrupted ones, how many in your family were killed and persecuted by the CCP because of upholding the truth and righteousness of the holy church passed down by the Saints?

The CCP plays with Vatican while harshly persecuting the faithful Chinese Catholics. And nowadays, the CCP even does not care the exposure of its evil nature to the world. The blood of the slaughtered saints is our seed. The only way to have a tomorrow of religious freedom is that we Catholics stand out and cry to the world to uncover and fight against the CCP’s persecution.

The reason for the CCP’s continuing playing with Vatican around the issue of religious freedom in the past several decades is that the CCP failed to completely eliminate the Catholics in the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s. In contrast, the number of believers has increased to over ten millions from several millions. To strengthen its ruling position, the CCP has to talk with Vatican to stabilize it in order to stabilize the ten million believers. We Catholics have never involved in politics but suffered from political persecution. Should we be slaughtered so freely by Satan???? Vatican, please give up the profit-only ideology. The CCP’s purpose is to establish Soviet-Union-type Chinese Eastern Orthodox Church in order to get rid of Vatican and destroy Catholic ideology. The CCP is more wicked, extreme and brutal than Stalin. And Vatican has been deceived all the time. Wake up Bishops! The CCP is a wolf covered with a sheep skin. To associate and have peace with such a devil is to help it cover up with the appearance of “Angel of Light”.

It is very sad that our Rome Church still does not fully know the facts and what to do. How can Vatican take back the lost land if we loyal Catholics were also tired and indifferent, or even compromised and lost hope in Rome Church? Without a stand of justice and an attitude of righteousness, how can Vatican face Devil CCP? Now, it is not Vatican who speaks about how the Chinese Catholics suffering from the persecution, but the devil CCP enjoys in talking about how to persecute the Christians, Catholics, Tibetan Buddhists, etc. China becomes the paradise for Satan to slaughter people. The whole world knows that the CCP is an evil and scoundrelly government. I do not think Vatican has the assurance to win in dealing with such a rogue, because this is the deal between the human and Satan. The CCP was, is and will be Nazi totalitarian. They have been spreading their evil ideology into the whole world to win over people because they are in deep fear of the death of their atheistic devil ruling power. All the Chinese believers suffering from CCP’s persecution should unite together to fight against it and to make its devil ruling power collapsed!
